ABOUT INDEPENDENT HILL SCHOOL & PACE EAST PROGRAM

and opened in 1968.

The complex in which Independent Hill School is located is a former Air Force radar base, deeded to Prince William County Schools. The school is named for the area, Independent Hill,

The PACE East Program has a seventeen year history of assisting Prince William County students and students from surrounding jurisdictions to learn to their fullest potential. The school's name P.A.C.E., "Positive Attitude and Commitment to Education" essentially reflects our vision and mission and is part of every student's educational experience.  The approach towards education is a holistic approach. Thus, we not only provide curriculum instruction in core academic areas but also vocational and social skills training.
